SD3 is a part of the French consortium DEF (Détection Electronique Française), established in 1958 and consisting of 15 Fire Detection and Extinguishing companies grouping about 1 000 employees in total. SD3 has in its structure 4 factories, manufacturing different product lines in the fire detection. SD3 has been partner in big projects, as the delivery and putting into operation of the fire detection system for EUROTUNNEL, connecting France and Great Britain, as well as large business centers and places of social importance – the nuclear power station EDF (France), the airport Charles de Gaulle (Paris), a business center in Dubai and the Science and Industry Center (France).
