On November 4th Sectron Ltd in cooperation with Arecont Vision organized a product seminar under the name “Megapixel technologies – latest achievements, novelties, application and product presentation”. The event was attended by special guest presenters – Mr. Sergej Pičulin (Arecont Regional Manager) and Mr. Christof Kraka (Technical Director). They presented the latest product novelties as well as the real-life advantages of megapixel IP CCTV technologies.
A variety of practical examples were showcased along with real worldwide installations in which the megapixel resolution benefits the users and increases dramatically the overall effect of the video surveillance. The participants in the seminar had the possibility to see in person the latest models from Arecont plus the upcoming cameras like the new 10-megapixel model which will be available on the market by January 2010. Special accent was made on the fact that Arecont uses a sophisticated H.264 compression for its megapixel models which means up to 3 times less network bandwidth and disk storage – this means less total cost of the whole IP system and more usability.
The event was concluded by an open discussion in which many practical issues of the IP CCTV were covered as well as many questions from the participants.
