The leader in innovative video surveillance solutions - Hikvision announce the launch of the new Turbo HD 4.0 generation HD TVI systems for video surveillance.

Turbo HD 4.0 will feature high sensitivity at low light, 8 MP video image resolution (4K) and power transmission via coaxial cable. The latest generation of Turbo HD video surveillance products will take advantage of the revolutionary H.265 + Hikvision compression technology that provides a remarkable reduction in network bandwidth and storage space.

Hikvision revolutionized analog video surveillance in 2012 with the introduction of Turbo HD security solutions. After years of development, Hikvision launched Turbo HD 4.0, an entirely new revolution in high-performance and ultra-high resolution video surveillance.

8 megapixel resolution and convenience of coaxial cable power

The first products of the Turbo HD 4.0 series to come out on the market are 8 megapixel box and Vari-focal waterproof cameras as well as digital video recorders with 4K UHD HDMI video outputs. 8 MP cameras offer the highest resolution available to the analogue video surveillance market today. Some models will be  equipped with the patented Hikvision Power over Coax 2.0 (PoC) technology enabling  the user to transfer ultra-high resolution (UHD) video and power to the same coaxial cable, allowing fast, easy, and cheaper installation using  the existing Coaxial infrastructure. The result is unsurpassed end-user quality coupled with cost-effective  installation.

H.265 + reduces network bandwidth and storage space

Turbo HD 4.0 is not just the latest H.265 video compression, but also offers Hikvision ‘s revolutionary H.265 + video compression  technology. H265 + dramatically improves coding efficiency: reduces network traffic requirements by up to 75% compared to H.264 and reduces storage space by half in the same frames per second. The new technology features a reduced bit rate while preserving the high quality of the transmitted image. H.265 + is an important step forward in video compression and creates significant cost savings for video storage.

Darkfighter technology and analogue video surveillance systems

In the new generation of Turbo HD 4.0, the well-known Hikvision IP cameras Darkfighter technology will be used for the first time, allowing efficient operation of the camera at ultra-low light levels. With the unique Hikvision technology, the new generation of cameras will deliver crisp and colorful video images at levels of only 0.003lux.
