Mobile CCTV surveillance in repatriate trucks of Center for Urban Mobility

Sectron designed, supplied and installed systems for mobile CCTV in the repatriate trucks of the Center for Urban Mobility in Sofia.

CCTV cameras are mounted on the repatriation trucks that lift improperly parked cars in Sofia. The Center for Urban Mobility (TSGM) administration team can remotely monitor and control the work of the employees and additional protect them from the actions of offenders since last week.

“The cameras have been fitted in 10 cars, still have 4 cars to be fitted. This control will be assure people who violate the parking rules that their car will reach the penalty parking without scratch and will stop any attempt of corruption,” said Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova. The aim of the video devices is to monitor the work of teams repatriated to avoid violations or conflicts with drivers.

10 cars are equipped with four video cameras that transmit images in the center for monitoring and processing of information. Two cameras are located in the cabin, one of them additionally record sound. The aim is to ensure full transparency throughout the process – from registration of the offense to car movement to the penalty. Visibility is assured of 120 degrees on both sides of the car. Employees may not be able to stop or affect CCTV.

The cameras transmit through 3G connection the location of each truck, its speed of movement and its registration number, said yesterday, Marcello Dokovski, Vice manager Center for Urban Mobility .
