The official operational start of the IP video surveillance system in Stara Zagora took place in late october 2007. The system was conceived, delivered and installed by Sectron’s technical experts following the requirements of the municipality of Stara Zagora. An IP based video platform from JVC Professional was used for the system, which consists of VN-C20U static cameras and VN-C655U IP speed dome cameras. A control monitoring center is established in the main Municipality building. The whole system is administered and operated by JVC VN-RS800U software package.
Officials from the municipality expressed their satisfaction with the system which is going to provide better security throughout the city center and will deter anti-social and crime activities. Further expansion of the system is planned with more IP cameras in different city places.
