On June 25th a new “Kaufland” supermarket was officially opened in “Ovcha Kupel” district of Sofia. It is the latest addition to a group of 22 sites of the popular German supermarket chain in Bulgaria where “Sectron” delivered and installed video surveillance systems. Every single system consists of 16 to 48 color cameras with a high resolution of 520 TV lines Sanyo VCC-6580P and speed dome PTZ cameras CNB 2565PXW which have 30X optical zoom capability. The video signals from all cameras are recorded on professional digital video recorders at high resolution of 720×576 as they are also displayed in real-time on main and spot monitors connected to the recorders.

The video surveillance systems ensure full coverage of the various zones in the supermarket and thus they help the security personnel to detect and prevent conflicts and theft attempts. The professional capabilities and high functionality of the video systems were acknowledged by the “Kaufland” administration staff as these systems effectively guarantee the safety of one of the most popular supermarket chains in Bulgaria.
